Induction day

3:24 pm  – Kivrin was supposed to come visit the new baby after school — but when the time came, there was no baby yet, so she came to visit Lissa and Daniel at the nice big hospital birthing room instead.  Kivrin brought Big with her, and her macaroni, and bought some milk for her and some chocolate milk for Mama.

The pitocin drip was increased every 20 minutes, and an hour later, by the time that Kivrin was tired of playing in the room, hiding behind the privacy curtain, pretending to take a shower, and pushing around the nurse’s wheeled stool, Lissa’s contractions were finally getting a bit stronger. After a boring day of induction stuff, Kivrin’s visit was a fun distraction for everyone before we got to the serious laboring.
